               in the British health spa industry. However, in recent years
               this family-run chain has faced stiff competition from
               health farms and spas attached to luxury hotels, as the
               surge in interest in health and beauty across the nation has
               meant that everyone wants a piece of the action. This
               documentary follows current Champneys owner Stephen Purdew
               at the company's flagship resort at Tring in Hertfordshire,
               as he takes an proactive role in stopping the rot,
               renovating the resort and shaking up the staff with the help
               of a new management team. Tensions run high, tempers are
               frayed and chaos ensues - but will the spa and its staff
               survive the refurbishment? And will the customers keep
               coming?
