Title: Dragons’ Den
Description: Eight more intrepid entrepreneurs brave the Den hoping to
gain a major cash boost for their business idea. A horror
story writer attempts to scare the Dragons into investing,
but doesn’t quite get the reaction he expects, in fact it
is a reaction never before seen in the Den. There is a blast
from the past as two Mancunian sisters who first walked up
those infamous stairs back in 2005, are now asking for
investment in their new gluten free oriental dipping sauce
range, but will it be a case of better luck second time
around? And with the kids all back at school, two friends
hope now is the right time for investment in their
innovative children’s backpack designs. Also pitching to
the multimillionaire investors is a Northern Irish inventor
with his unique range of wearable luggage, and love is in
the air when two Dragons tie the knot using a rather unusual
vending machine

Title: Masters of Money
Episode: Hayek
Description: According to conventional wisdom, today’s global financial
crisis happened because markets were not regulated enough.
But what if the opposite is true? That it was excessive
government meddling in the markets that caused the crash?
Stephanie Flanders turns her attention to the radical
free-market economist Friedrich Hayek. Travelling from
London to Vienna and America, she unravels the extraordinary
life and influence of the only free-market thinker whose
reputation has grown post-crisis. With contributions from
Central bankers, politicians and a Nobel laureate, she
explores why despite his enormous influence, no government
has ever dared to fully implement Hayek’s solution to the
problems of capitalism - set it virtually totally free from
state control
