Title: The Apprentice
Episode: Flip it in Essex
Description: The teams are called to a warehouse in Essex; Lord Sugar
tells the candidates that this is how he started out, buying
wholesale goods and selling them on for a profit. Both teams
are given 150 pounds to spend on products of their choice,
with Essex as their selling ground. Products are purchased
and hopes for big profits are pinned on a collection of
mops, MP3 players, fake tan and false eyelashes. The next
day the teams pitch up in Essex markets and shopping centres
to push their products. They must sniff out their best
sellers and re-invest in them as many times as they can. It
seems straightforward, but soon stock sells out and a
stocking team gets stuck on the motorway, leaving their
teammates with nothing to sell. The others fail to identify
best sellers, and reinvest in the same products they started
out with. At the end of the day there is a big opportunity
to shift remaining stock, and two very different selling
strategies emerge
