Title: The Hotel
Description: Documentary series capturing life behind-the-scenes at The
Grosvenor in Torquay, a typical three-star British holiday
hotel. In a special episode, manager Mark and the team
tackle the biggest event in their first year at The
Grosvenor: Christmas. Things get off to a bad start when the
bargain bin Christmas decorations fail to transform the
hotel into the anticipated winter wonderland. With all the
guests due to descend on the hotel at the same time, Mark is
heavily reliant on reservations manager Alison to run a
smooth check-in. But on the busiest arrivals day of the
year, Alison phones in sick, leaving Mark to run things
alone. After numerous guest complaints, Mark has to employ
his salesman skills to turn things around. On Christmas
morning, Mark remembers that vegetarians don’t eat turkey.
To make matters worse, all the guests ask for a nut roast
causing chaos in the kitchen. The festive period continues
with a New Year’s Eve bash as Mark and Alison reflect on
their first year
