Google Scholar Alerts

There's a new post on SHU Lib Hacks about Google Scholar's ability to generate alerts for specific searches. If, for example, you want to be alerted any time that Tourism AND Sheffield AND Regeneration is mentioned in an article that Google Scholar indexes, you can do so easily, and get it sent to any email address.

Also, you can be alerted any time that a specific article is referenced or cited in another paper. So, if you want to keep tracks on who is using your recently published articles, this is possible too. See the Google Scholar Blog for more information.

We'll touch on Google Scholar alerts as part of the Current Awareness e-learning sessions that are being delivered on Tuesday 22 June 10-11 and Wednesday 23 June 10-11, both in Stoddart 7323. Email Alison Lahlafi if you want to attend
